A Ukrainian woman won bronze at the 2026 Paralympics in parabiathlon.
Ukrainian para-biathlete Oleksandra Kononova won bronze in the individual standing sprint at the 2026 Winter Paralympic Games .

On the first shooting range, the Ukrainian made a mistake and received a penalty minute, which complicated the medal race. However, Kononova shot clean in the next three attempts.
Ultimately, the Ukrainian athlete finished third. Canadian Natalie Wilkie won, and China’s Zhao Zhiqing took silver.
The Chinese athlete also had one penalty minute and encountered a problem with her rifle on the final shooting range, but was able to hold onto second place.
