A Unified Information Platform for Searching for Missing Persons was Presented in Ukraine
The Unified Information Platform on Persons Missing in Special Circumstances was presented in Kyiv.
The information platform was presented at a press conference in Kyiv by its founders from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
The platform was created by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine to coordinate the search for missing persons and support their families. The portal provides instructions on how to submit an application, provide DNA samples, obtain an extract from the registry, as well as information on rights and social guarantees.
According to Maryana Reva, Director of the Communications Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the goal of the project is to create an “information bridge” between families and search agencies, so that people feel that they are not alone in searching for their relatives.
Khrystyna Podyryako, Head of the Department for Organizing Investigations of Crimes in War Conditions of the State Criminal Investigation Department of the National Police of Ukraine, noted that specialized search centers have been created in each investigative department, and the platform will help families find information about the investigation more quickly.
Commissioner for Missing Persons, Artur Dobroserdov, emphasized that the platform will become a coordination center, uniting the work of state bodies and public organizations in searching for people.
The platform is available online on the Ministry of Internal Affairs web portal.
