“A very dangerous time”: speculations about World War III have been made in Europe

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said that despite “very dangerous times,” she does not believe the world is heading towards World War III.
She said this in an interview with Le Soir.
The EC President stressed that “we live in very dangerous times,” but she is convinced that the world will be able to avoid a new world war.
At the same time, von der Leyen added that the level of hatred between countries towards each other is growing.
According to her, Europe must take steps to ensure democracy and the prosperity of peace.
“I will do everything in my power to preserve peace and freedom in Europe. This is what explains our determination to strengthen our defense capabilities,” the head of the European Commission noted.
Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Defense’s GUR, Kirill Budanov, stated that most of the developed countries of the world are involved in the Russian-Ukrainian war , which means that World War III is already underway.
