A wave of geomagnetic activity will cover the Earth: forecast for September 17–18

Increased geomagnetic activity is expected in Ukraine and the world on September 17–18. The magnetic storm is likely to intensify on Thursday, and the situation should gradually calm down the next day.
This is according to the forecast from the NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center. However, such forecasts are updated regularly, so the figures may change.
On Thursday, September 17 , a K-index of 4.7 is expected. This is a yellow level of geomagnetic activity and a period of possible moderate disturbances.
On Friday, September 18 , the indicator should drop to 3.7. This is already a green level, which corresponds to weak geomagnetic activity.
Geomagnetic activity is assessed using a planetary K-index from 0 to 9. A value of 5 and above corresponds to a magnetic storm of level G1 or stronger.
The forecast may change throughout the day due to changes in solar activity. Experts update the data every few hours, so the final figures may differ from previous calculations.
At the same time, claims that magnetic storms directly cause headaches, fatigue, or stress need to be interpreted with caution: scientific data does not provide grounds to unequivocally link such symptoms to geomagnetic disturbances.
