A wave of mass attacks on the railway: why is the enemy attacking Ukrainian stations?

The Russians are trying to destroy key hub stations in Ukraine, in particular, a wave of mass attacks on the railway began in July.

This was stated by the Chairman of the Board of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” Oleksandr Pertsovskyi in a comment to Ukrinform .

He explained that the occupiers are striking in such a way that power substations, locomotive depots, and passenger stations are hit.

Pertsovsky, in particular, recalled the attacks on the railway stations in Lozova in the Kharkiv region, Synelnyky in the Dnipropetrovsk region, and Kozyatyn in the Vinnytsia region.

At the same time, the official emphasized that even despite the shelling of hub stations, Ukrzaliznytsia is not canceling flights.

“We find opportunities to change the schedule, but we always go. And Ukrainians note this. They thank the railway workers for such endurance,” he added.

As a reminder, on the night of August 28 , a Russian missile attack damaged a railway junction in the city of Kozyatyn in Vinnytsia Oblast.

It is also known that on the night of August 10 , Russian troops struck the railway station in Synelnykovo, Dnipropetrovsk region.

By the way, on the night of August 5 , Lozova, Kharkiv region, was subjected to the most powerful attack by Russian troops , as a result of which the railway junction was damaged.
