Igor Mazepa, the founder of a Ukrainian investment company, was in a traffic accident on his way to Kyiv.
He wrote about this on his Facebook page.
This happened the night before in the Zvyahelsky district of the Zhytomyr region.
“On February 9, while returning to Kyiv, I got into an accident on the Zhytomyr highway with the participation of a third party,” he said.
The businessman stressed that he was not tired, did not use substances prohibited for drivers, and did not violate traffic rules. Law enforcement agencies confirmed that he was sober.
According to preliminary information from the Zhytomyr region police, the driver of a Mercedes-Benz car hit a pedestrian who was crossing the road on an unlit section of the road.
The victim died on the way to the hospital due to injuries sustained in the accident.
