Around 200 Russian occupiers have penetrated Ukrainian positions in Pokrovsk, Donetsk Oblast. Gunfire continues in the city, but defense forces are preventing the enemy from gaining a foothold.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this.

“Regarding the situation on the approaches to the city of Pokrovsk and within its immediate vicinity. Soldiers from our units, who are carrying out combat missions in these areas, are carrying out comprehensive measures daily to stabilize the situation,” the statement reads.

It is noted that the enemy, by exploiting the space between positions and the escape of small infantry groups, has amassed approximately 200 troops in the city. Small arms battles continue in the town, and UAV units are actively operating.

“The enemy’s attempts to advance deeper and gain a foothold in the urban area are being stopped through counter-sabotage operations. Ukrainian defenders are then tasked with searching for, destroying, or capturing Russian occupiers who are attempting to infiltrate through our battle lines, taking advantage of their numerical superiority,” the General Staff added.

As a reminder, as of October 26, 2025, Ukrainian forces have liberated 185.6 square kilometers of territory in the Pokrovsky district of Donetsk Oblast and cleared 243.8 square kilometers . Despite this, the situation remains challenging, as the enemy is building up its offensive forces.
