Activity of Russian assaults in Sumy region has decreased – State Tax Service of Ukraine

Russian occupation forces continue to attempt to enter the territory of Sumy Oblast with small assault groups. However, the number of such assaults has decreased.

This was announced on air by the representative of the State Border Service of Ukraine (SBSU) Andriy Demchenko.

“Dozens killed, dozens wounded – these are the losses that the enemy is suffering. At first, when the enemy began to use such tactics, we saw that he practically did not take into account his own losses. However, now, apparently due to a lack of strength, the enemy’s activity in this direction has significantly decreased,” Demchenko said.

In addition, he said, small groups of Russians have begun to use quad bikes or motor vehicles less often. In his opinion, this indicates that the Defense Forces are effectively countering the enemy in this section of the front.

Let us recall that the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has introduced changes to the structure of frontline reports , adding a new direction of military operations – Severo-Slobozhanske. The reason for this decision was the activation of Russian troops in the border areas of Sumy Oblast.
