Advancement of 3.5 kilometers and capture of prisoners: the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on successes in the Orikhiv direction

Ukrainian military reported successes in the Orikhiv direction. Assault units advanced 3.5 kilometers, eliminating Russian occupiers and taking prisoners.

This was reported by the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian Defense Forces have achieved new successes in the Zaporizhia region. In the Orikhiv direction, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have improved their tactical position in the area of the settlement of Mali Shcherbaki, which is part of the Stepnohirsk community.

It is noted that as a result of the actions of the assault groups, the Ukrainian military was able to advance up to 3.5 km. During the operation, a significant number of Russian military personnel were destroyed, and some of the enemy were taken prisoner.

The General Staff thanked the units that participated in the fighting. In particular, they noted the 24th separate assault battalion “Aidar” and the 33rd separate assault regiment.

“We thank the fighters of the 24th separate assault battalion “Aidar”, the 33rd separate assault regiment and other units, who demonstrate exemplary courage, coordination, thwart the enemy’s plans and regain control over Ukrainian territories,” the message said.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue offensive operations in the southern direction, strengthening positions and inflicting losses on the Russian occupation forces.

It was previously reported that the Ukrainian Defense Forces regained control of the village of Mali Shcherbaki in Zaporizhia region . This result was made possible thanks to clear interaction, determination, and coordinated work of the units.
