After talks in Florida, the US named those blocking the movement towards peace

The US said that further progress towards a peace agreement now depends on Russia. The State Department and White House special envoy Steve Whitkoff issued a joint statement after talks with the Ukrainian delegation, which took place on December 5 in Florida.

U.S. and Ukrainian officials agreed on a framework for future security guarantees and deterrence measures to ensure lasting peace after a potential deal. Whitkoff and the State Department stressed that real progress is possible only when Russia demonstrates a willingness to make peace and takes steps to de-escalate.

The head of the Ukrainian delegation, Rustem Umerov, confirmed that Kyiv defends its sovereignty and independence in any format.

It was previously reported that during an interview with Indian journalists, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin actually refused to answer the question of why the Russian army was destroying the homes of residents of eastern Ukraine .

Recall that the United States is demanding that European NATO members assume most of the alliance’s conventional defense capabilities by 2027.
