After the heat of +29, rains will come to Ukraine: when will the weather change

After several warm and sunny days, the weather in Ukraine will begin to change. Starting in the second half of the week, short-term rains, thunderstorms, and increased wind are expected in some regions, and the air temperature will drop in some places.

This was reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.

On Wednesday, May 6, dry and warm weather will remain in most regions. The wind will be southwest, 5-12 m/s.

At night, the temperature will be +8…+15 degrees, and during the day the air will warm up to +19…+26. In the western, northern, and central regions, in some places the thermometer may rise to almost summer +29 degrees.

Forecasters explain that during May 5-7, the weather without precipitation will be formed by a field of high pressure spreading from the Balkans and the Black Sea.

However, already in the afternoon of May 7, an atmospheric front from the west will bring short-term rains to the western regions. Thunderstorms and wind gusts up to 15-20 m/s are possible in some places.

On Friday, May 8, rains and thunderstorms may also spread to the northern regions and Vinnytsia region.

Precipitation is forecast for parts of the central and southern regions on May 9. Due to cloudiness, the air temperature there will drop slightly.

According to the preliminary forecast, on Sunday, May 10, the rains will move away from the western and northern regions, but precipitation and thunderstorms are likely in the south, east, and Crimea.

No precipitation is forecast in Kyiv on May 6. The temperature is expected to be around +12 degrees at night, and up to +28 degrees during the day.

On May 7, it will be cloudy in the capital, but without rain. The temperature at night will be about +14, during the day – up to +25.

Rain is forecast in Kyiv throughout the day on May 8. The temperature will drop to +13 at night and +22 during the day.

On May 9, the probability of precipitation will remain, and on May 10, the rain may recede. These days, the temperature is expected to be about +10 degrees at night, and up to +17 during the day.
