In the US, an Air Canada plane collided with a fire truck while taxiing on the runway at LaGuardia Airport in New York. The incident injured at least 60 people and temporarily suspended operations at the airport.

The incident occurred late at night as an Air Canada Express CRJ-900 aircraft, flying from Montreal, was landing on runway 4 near the Delta terminal.

The plane, which was operating flight 646 under the control of regional carrier Jazz Airlines, collided with a fire truck that was on the taxiway.

According to available information, at least 60 people were injured. Among them, 4 firefighters are in critical condition.

Eyewitnesses report a chaotic situation at the scene, as well as flight delays and cancellations.

The accident closed LaGuardia Airport until at least the morning of March 24, causing disruptions to one of New York City’s busiest transportation hubs.

The causes of the collision are currently being determined. The names of the injured and details of their condition have not been officially released.

Recall that in the USA, a private plane crashed during takeoff at Bangor Airport in Maine. The incident occurred in conditions of a severe snowstorm, with 8 people on board.
