Air defense forces neutralized 249 Russian drones, targeting the Odessa, Zaporizhzhia, and Kharkiv regions.

On the night of June 6, Russian forces launched a massive attack on Ukraine, using 272 drones of various types. Air defense forces destroyed or suppressed 249 hostile targets.

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this.

According to the military, the occupiers used Shahed attack drones, Gerbera and Italmas drones, Banderol hover munitions, and Parodiya drone imitators.

Aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare, unmanned aerial systems, and mobile fire teams of the Defense Forces were used to repel the air attack.

As of 8:00 AM, Ukrainian forces have neutralized 249 enemy drones in the north, east, and south of the country. At the same time, 19 drone hits were recorded in 11 locations, and debris from downed targets fell in 13 more.

In the Odessa region, the attack damaged residential buildings, a critical infrastructure facility, a medical center, and a hotel. According to Oleg Kiper , head of the Odessa Regional Military Administration , there were no casualties.

In Zaporizhzhia, a Russian drone caused a fire in a parking lot near a multi-story building. According to the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration , five people were injured.

Kharkiv’s Saltovsky district was also hit. According to the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration , the drone damaged an administrative building and a civilian vehicle. No injuries were reported.
