Air defense forces neutralized 472 air targets during a massive Russian attack.

On the night of March 7, the Russian army launched a combined attack on Ukraine, using attack drones and land- and sea-based missiles. Air defense forces neutralized 472 aerial targets.

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this.

According to military data, radio-technical troops recorded a total of 509 air attack weapons, including:

• 2 hypersonic missiles Zircon ;

• 13 Iskander-M / S-400 ballistic missiles;

• 14 Kalibr cruise missiles;

• 480 Shahed -type attack drones, as well as Gerbera, Italmas and other types of drones.

The main areas of attack were Kiev , Kharkov , as well as the Zhytomyr region , Khmelnytsky region and Chernivtsi region .

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned aerial systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

As of 9:00 AM, air defense forces have shot down or suppressed 472 aerial targets—19 missiles and 453 drones. Specifically, eight Iskander-M / S-400 ballistic missiles, 11 Kalibr cruise missiles, and 453 enemy drones of various types were destroyed.

At the same time, nine missiles and 26 attack drones were hit at 22 locations, as well as debris from downed drones at five locations. Information on one enemy missile is still being clarified.
