Air defense forces neutralized 87 of the 112 Russian drones used by the occupiers to attack Ukraine.
The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this.
It was reported that, starting at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, October 8, Russian forces launched 112 Shahed and Gerbera attack UAVs, as well as other types of drones, in the following areas: Millerovo, Kursk, Shatalovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk. More than 70 of these were Shahed drones.
The air attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned aerial systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 09:00 Thursday, October 9, air defense forces shot down/suppressed 87 Shahed, Gerbera, and other types of UAVs in the north, south, and east of Ukraine.
Hits by 22 attack UAVs were recorded at 12 locations.
“The attack continues, and several enemy drones are in the airspace,” the military added.
