Air defense forces shot down 178 enemy drones that Russia used to attack Ukraine.
The Ukrainian Air Force reported this.
“On the night of July 15 (from 16:30 on July 14), the enemy attacked with 267 Shahed-type strike UAVs and drone imitators of various types in the following directions: Orel, Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk – Russian Federation, TOT Donetsk region,” the message said.
It is noted that the air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units and unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 13:00, air defense forces shot down 178 hostile Shahed-type UAVs (and other types of drones) in the north, south, east and center of the country.
In addition, 66 drone imitators were lost in location/suppressed by electronic warfare.
23 UAVs were hit in 7 locations, and downed aircraft (wreckage) were found in 9 locations.
