President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine lacks air defense systems and missiles for them, and their supply could run out any week depending on the intensity of Russian attacks.

He said this in an interview with Buitenhof .

According to the head of state, the situation with missiles remains tense, as they are constantly used to repel massive shelling.

The President emphasized that one of the main tasks remains the search for additional air defense systems. That is why he regularly holds negotiations with partners.

Zelensky stressed that Ukraine needs anti-ballistic defense systems, in particular the Patriot type or their analogues.

At the same time, he noted that Ukraine already has effective solutions to combat drones and some missiles and continues to develop its own technologies.

The President added that cooperation with European partners continues, but the existing solutions are currently insufficient – Ukraine needs more air defense systems.

It was previously reported that the US began to postpone the supply of weapons to its European allies. This affected even weapons under already signed and paid contracts . The reason was that its own stocks were rapidly decreasing amid several conflicts at the same time.

As a reminder, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that Ukraine has a significant shortage of missiles for Patriot air defense systems. He characterized the shortage as “it couldn’t be worse.”
