On the night of July 3, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with two Kh-59/69 guided air-launched missiles and 105 attack drones of various types, including Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, jet-powered UAVs, and drone simulators.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported this.

As of 8:30 AM, Ukrainian air defenses had neutralized 83 aerial targets—one guided missile and 82 drones. At the same time, one missile and 21 drones were recorded hitting 16 locations, and debris from downed targets fell at five more locations.

The Sumy region suffered the most. A strike on an apartment building killed four people: a 76-year-old man, two women aged 39 and 26, and a child under two years old. Russian troops also attacked gas stations in the region four times. There were casualties in the Sumy and Nedryhaylovka communities.

In the Kharkiv region, a drone struck a residential area in Lozovaya. Six civilians were injured, including three children. A 10-year-old girl sustained severe injuries, diagnosed with blast trauma and burns to approximately 40% of her body. She was hospitalized in serious condition. Other family members and her grandmother suffered an acute stress reaction.
