Air defense shot down 30 drones: Russia attacked Ukraine with nearly 50 UAVs overnight.

On the night of December 28, Russian troops launched another attack on Ukraine using attack drones.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported this.

Starting at 6:00 PM on December 27, the enemy launched 48 Shahed, Gerber, and other drones. The launches were carried out from Russian territory—from the Orel, Kursk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk areas, as well as from temporarily occupied Crimea—in the Gvardeyskoye and Chauda directions. Approximately 30 of the aircraft were Shahed drones.

The air attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned aerial systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

As of 8:30 a.m., air defenses had destroyed or suppressed 30 enemy drones in the north, south, and east of the country. At the same time, hits on 18 drones were recorded at nine locations. Details of the attack’s aftermath are being clarified.
