Air defenses at Putin’s residence in Valdai have been significantly strengthened.

In March 2026, seven new towers with Pantsir air defense systems were built near the residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin in Valdai.

This was reported by the Russian service of Radio Liberty, citing satellite images.

According to journalists, construction of all seven facilities began simultaneously, on March 17. Some towers are already equipped with anti-aircraft missile systems. In total, the number of air defense systems in the area of the residence has increased to 27.

Media outlets also note that the Valdai residence is one of Putin’s key residences. It was previously reported that Alina Kabaeva and her children, who are associated with the Russian leader, are often there.

Furthermore, according to journalists, an exact replica of Putin’s Kremlin office has been created at the residence, which may indicate the heightened security and autonomy of this facility.
