Airborne Assault Units have occupied nine settlements in the Aleksandrovsky direction – General Staff

As of March 2, units of the Ukrainian Airborne Assault Troops have liberated nine settlements in the Aleksandrovsk direction.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this.

According to military officials, three settlements in the group’s area of responsibility have been completely cleared of the enemy. Fighting to liberate several more villages is currently ongoing.

“Military units and subdivisions of the Airborne Assault Forces group continue active offensive operations in the Aleksandrovsk direction, imposing their own terms of battle on the enemy,” the Airborne Assault Forces command emphasized.

Since the beginning of the operation on January 29, 2026, the enemy’s losses amount to 6,537 people, of which:
— non-refundable — 4355
– sanitary – 2167
– prisoners – 15

According to the General Staff, losses in equipment and weapons amounted to 419 units, including:
– 7 tanks
– 14 armored combat vehicles
– 242 units of automotive equipment
– 49 artillery systems
– 2 multiple launch rocket systems
– 1 air defense system
– 6 units of special equipment
– 105 motorcycles and ATVs
– 147 artillery systems
– 611 wing-type unmanned aerial vehicles
– 108 launchers for unmanned aerial vehicles

It is noted that during the operation, Ukrainian military forces are using both pinpoint and massive strikes against enemy personnel and equipment.

Also, after the operation began, Russian units’ access to the Starlink network was restricted, which made it difficult to coordinate their actions during the initial stage of the fighting.

“This significantly impacted the occupiers’ situational awareness and complicated the command and control of units in the initial phase, but the enemy did not cease its offensive operations,” the command added.
