The collapse of civil aviation in Russia, which occurred on July 5-6, could have caused losses of up to 20 billion rubles to the Russian economy.

This was reported in Russian media.

According to Rosaviatsia, 287 flights were canceled at Sheremetyevo, Pulkovo, and Strigino airports, and another 106 were delayed.

“The costs of canceling flights alone on the first day of a large-scale disruption at three airports are estimated at 4–6 billion rubles. Redirecting one plane to an alternate airfield costs an average of 1.5–2 million rubles for 4 hours. The cost of delaying one flight is approximately 1.5 million rubles,” Rosaviatsia notes.

To correctly assess the losses from the implementation of the “Cavior” plan, according to which all airports are closed during a drone attack on Russia, as well as disruptions to mobile Internet and losses to taxi services and other related sectors, including the loss of passengers on delayed flights.

It is noted that the total amount of such indirect losses for the Russian economy in just three regions could reach several tens of billions of rubles.

As a reminder, on July 4, the Ukrainian Defense Forces attacked a factory in the city of Sergiyev Posad, Moscow Region, where warheads for Shahed kamikaze drones are produced.

By the way, on July 5, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck an important Russian military-industrial complex in the city of Cheboksary, Chuvash Republic .
