Airstrike in the center of Pokrovsk: Defense Forces hit the launch point of the Molniya UAV

The Ukrainian Defense Forces launched an airstrike on a Russian military facility in the central part of Pokrovsk, where the occupiers had set up a launch point for Molniya attack drones and were conducting aerial reconnaissance.

This was reported by the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to military sources, Russian troops continue to accumulate forces and assets in Pokrovsk to support further offensive operations in the area. One of the enemy’s priorities is to expand the network of drone launch points within the city.

To do this, the occupiers use residential buildings, setting up takeoff and control points for drones in concrete shelters, basements, and entrances of multi-story buildings.

“The Defense Forces recently carried out an airstrike on the central part of Pokrovsk. According to available information, the enemy has set up a take-off and launch point for Molniya type strike UAVs at the facility, and has also used it for aerial reconnaissance,” the report says.

The 7th Corps of the Russian Air Force noted that the destruction of the facility complicated the work of enemy unmanned aircraft units in this direction and reduced the capabilities of Russian troops to conduct reconnaissance and strike operations.

As reported, on June 4 and the night of June 5, 2026, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a number of military facilities of Russian troops in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and in the border areas of the Russian Federation . The results of previous strikes on enemy infrastructure were also confirmed.
