Allegedly a response to the “attack on Putin’s residence”: Russia is preparing a new large-scale bloody provocation

Ukraine’s Foreign Intelligence Service has announced that the Kremlin is preparing a large-scale provocation with significant human casualties. The aim of such actions may be to disrupt US-mediated peace talks and further escalate the war.

The Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine notes that Russia is continuing a special operation aimed at disrupting the negotiation process to end the war.
According to intelligence, the operation is complex and includes information and force elements. After the so-called attack on Putin’s residence, the Kremlin is spreading new falsified information pretexts.
The SZRU reported that these actions are aimed at preparing the Russian and international audience for further escalation of the situation.
According to intelligence assessments, Russia is highly likely to move from manipulative information influence to armed provocation by special services with human casualties.
The expected time of implementation of the provocation, according to the SZRU, is possible on the eve or during the celebration of Christmas according to the Julian calendar.
A religious building or other object with high symbolic significance, both on the territory of Russia and on the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, is considered a probable place of provocation.
The intelligence also noted that to falsify evidence of Ukraine’s involvement, Russia may use fragments of Western-made strike drones, which it plans to deliver from the front line.
The SZRU emphasizes that the use of terrorist acts with human victims under a foreign flag is a characteristic tactic of Russian special services.
The service added that Russia has repeatedly used similar methods within the country, and now this practice is spreading beyond its borders, which is confirmed by public statements by Russian officials.
The Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine has called on the media to carefully check materials distributed by the Kremlin and not to contribute to the spread of Russian fakes.

It was previously reported that the Kremlin is putting forward conditions for ending the war against Ukraine that go far beyond territorial issues.
