Almost 150 drones per night: Russia massively attacked Ukraine

On the night of Tuesday, August 18, Russian occupation forces carried out another massive drone attack on Ukraine. Air defense forces managed to neutralize 111 of 147 enemy drones, but hits were recorded at 19 locations.
This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the military, since 18:00 on August 17, the invaders attacked Ukraine with 147 Shahed-type strike drones, including jet-powered ones, as well as Gerber drones and Parody simulator drones. The launches were carried out from the territory of Russia and the temporarily occupied areas of Donetsk Oblast and Crimea.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces.
“According to preliminary data, as of 08:00, air defenses shot down/suppressed 111 enemy Shahed, Gerbera and other types of drones in the north, south and east of the country,” the Air Force reported.
At the same time, the military recorded hits by Russian drones at 19 locations. Debris from downed targets fell at three more locations. As of this morning, the attack was ongoing, and enemy drones remained in Ukrainian airspace.
