Almost 200 clashes on the front: where the situation remains most difficult

Over the past 24 hours, 193 combat clashes were recorded on the front — Russian troops sharply increased the intensity of attacks, launching dozens of airstrikes, thousands of artillery shells, and massively using kamikaze drones, while the Ukrainian Defense Forces restrained the enemy’s offensive in most directions.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 8:00 a.m. on December 19.
Yesterday, the enemy carried out 74 air strikes, dropped 154 guided bombs. In addition, it carried out 4,281 shelling, including 126 from multiple rocket launcher systems, and engaged 5,836 kamikaze drones to destroy them.
Over the past day, the Defense Forces’ aviation, missile troops, and artillery have struck three areas of personnel concentration, three command posts, and one artillery piece of the Russian invaders.
The aggressor carried out air strikes, in particular, on the areas of the settlements of Oleksandrograd in Donetsk region; Havrylivka, Khrystoforivka in Dnipropetrovsk region; Lisne, Orikhiv, Balabyne, Malokaterynivka in Zaporizhia region.
In the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk directions, Ukrainian defenders repelled four Russian attacks. The enemy launched three air strikes, dropped eight guided bombs, and carried out 176 attacks, including seven from multiple rocket launchers.
In the South Slobozhansk direction, our troops stopped nine enemy attacks near Starytsia, Prylipka, Vovchansk and towards Okhrimivka and Dovgenykh.
Nine attacks by the invaders took place in the Kupyansk direction yesterday. Our defenders repelled the enemy’s assault actions towards the settlements of Kurylivka, Pishchane, Petropavlivka, Hlushkivka, Novoplatonivka and Kupyansk.
In the Lymansky direction, the enemy attacked 10 times, trying to wedge into our defenses in the direction of Chervony Stav, Stavky, Drobyshevye, and in the areas of the settlements of Novoyehorivka and Zarichne.
In the Slavyansk direction, the Defense Forces repelled three enemy attacks in the areas of Serebryanka and Zvanivka.
The enemy did not conduct offensive operations in the Kramatorsk direction.
In the Kostyantynivka direction, the enemy carried out 28 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Kleban-Byk, Pleshchiivka, Shcherbynivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Rusyn Yar and towards Kostyantynivka, Ivanopillya, Stepanivka and Sofiivka.
In the Pokrovsky direction, our defenders stopped 50 assault actions of the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Chervonyi Lyman, Rodynske, Myrnograd, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Filiya and in the direction of Toretske, Novyi Shakhovye and Novopavlivka.
In the direction of Oleksandrivske, the enemy yesterday carried out 22 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Tolstoy, Oleksandrovgrad, Stepove, Pryvilne, Verbove, Krasnohirske, Zlagoda, Rybne and towards the settlements of Andriivka-Klevtsove, Ivanivka, Lisne, and Novye Zaporizhzhia.
In the Hulyaipil direction, the Defense Forces repelled 19 Russian attacks in the areas of Solodke, Zelenye, Hulyaipil and towards Varvarivka and Dobropil.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy tried in vain three times to break through our defenses towards Novoandreyevka, Prymorske, and in the Plavni area.
In the Dnieper direction, the enemy conducted two unsuccessful offensive actions towards Antonivka.
No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected in the Volyn and Polissya directions.
