Almost all of Chernihiv was left without power due to damage to a power facility following Russian attacks.

As a result of Russian shelling, almost the entire city of Chernihiv was left without electricity.
This was reported by the Chernihiv City Council.
Chernihiv-Oblenergo clarified that Russian troops damaged a key power facility in the Nizhyn district. Consequently, hundreds of thousands of customers were left without power.
Power companies are already working to restore power, but warn that due to the challenging security situation, the work may take longer. The company emphasized that they are doing everything possible to restore power to residents’ homes as quickly as possible.
The city council also noted that due to the large-scale power outage, critical infrastructure facilities are switching to alternative power sources. The switchover process is ongoing and is being monitored by relevant specialists.
Also on the night of January 24, Russian troops attacked Kyiv with drones. As of this morning, one person was killed and four were injured.
