Already undergoing training in the Armed Forces of Ukraine: former Dynamo and Shakhtar defender Artur Rudko tried to illegally cross the border

Former Dynamo Kyiv and Shakhtar Donetsk goalkeeper Artur Rudko attempted to illegally cross the Ukrainian border but was detained by border guards. The 33-year-old former football player is currently undergoing basic military training in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

It is noted that the incident occurred on the Transnistrian section of the Ukrainian-Moldovan border. Border guards of the Odessa region detained a car containing four male violators and the 4-year-old son of one of them.

According to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the child was taken with them specifically to distract the attention of border guards. The boy’s mother knew about the risks and agreed to participate in the scheme.

The attempted illegal crossing was organized via a Telegram channel. For participating in the “scheme”, each of the men had to pay $8,000 in cryptocurrency. One of the violators even managed to make an advance payment. As a result, the child was left with his mother, and the adults were detained and administrative reports were drawn up against them.

Among the violators was Artur Rudko, known for playing for a number of Ukrainian clubs, as well as for the Polish “Lech” and the Cypriot “Paphos”. His last club was Odessa “Chornomorets”, which the football player left after the end of last season.

Rudko is currently undergoing basic military training at one of the training centers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In his career, he also defended the goal of Dynamo, Shakhtar, Metalist, and also played for the youth national teams of Ukraine.

We would like to remind you that the Security Service of Ukraine, together with the National Police, reported the exposure of seven new schemes for evading mobilization in various regions of the country . As a result of a large-scale special operation, law enforcement officers detained ten organizers who helped conscripts illegally avoid service.

By the way, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is initiating amendments to the Criminal Code, which proposeestablishing criminal liability for violation of the established terms of stay outside the country by military conscripts.
