Brothers Matt and Ross Duffer, who created one of Netflix’s most successful series, Amazing Wonders, have announced that they are leaving the streaming service.
According to TechCrunch , the Duffers have signed an exclusive deal with Paramount, now owned by David Ellison’s Skydance.
This decision means important changes not only for Netflix, but also for the future of the franchise.
The final seasons of “Amazing Wonders” were marked by their scale: episodes became longer, special effects became more expensive, and budgets reached $30 million per episode.
But it’s Netflix’s theatrical release strategy that has become a sticking point. The streaming giant rarely releases films in theaters, while the Duffers are committed to making full-blown blockbusters for the big screen.
Paramount, on the other hand, actively supports classic film distribution.
Despite the change in partner, fans will see the hit series’ fifth season on Netflix. It will be released in three parts: November 26, December 25, and December 31, 2025.
Let us recall that the streaming service Netflix published a teaser for the final season of the series “Amazing Miracles” . The finale of which was divided into three parts.
