Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre announced a new military aid package for Ukraine.

This was reported by NRK.

“Today I can announce that Norway will finance a new aid package to Ukraine worth 3.2 billion kroner,” the official said.

He explained that the allocated funds will be used to purchase ammunition for F-16 fighter jets and air defense missiles.

Some of the equipment will be purchased from the United States as part of the PURL initiative.

“The burden for the country is enormous – militarily, economically and politically. The country is actually experiencing a three-stage crisis: a security crisis, a domestic crisis and an economic crisis,” Støre stressed, adding that these days are fateful for Ukraine.

As a reminder, the United Kingdom announced a record amount of aid to Ukraine for the year to strengthen air defense – 600 million pounds sterling will be allocated for these needs.

Previously, Germany transferred to Ukraine two Patriot air defense systems , which were promised back in August, as well as the ninth IRIS-T system.
