On November 11, a hydraulic grout breakthrough triggered a serious accident at the Ingulsk mine in the Kirovograd region, leaving several workers missing and prompting urgent rescue operations.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy.

The department reported that during underground mining of the spent block, a breakthrough of the hydraulic grouting mixture occurred, flooding the horizon.

At the time of the accident, four employees of the Svitex enterprise were at the site. Two managed to reach the surface on their own, while the fate of the others remains unknown.

Emergency rescue operations are ongoing, involving personnel and resources from the State Emergency Service and the Ingulsk mines.

The ministry stated that, in accordance with labor legislation, a special commission will be established to investigate the incident.

As a reminder, in the Dnipropetrovsk region, a strike by Russian occupiers knocked out power to eight coal mines. There were 2,595 miners underground.
