An agent network of hitmen in Kyiv and Odessa regions was detained in Kyiv

The Security Service of Ukraine has exposed a Russian agent network that coordinated attacks on the Kyiv and Odessa regions. Counterintelligence has detained an FSB agent who had not been used for 12 years.
This was reported to the SBU.
The detainee was in “sleep mode” for a long time — he was recruited back in 2014. He recently received new tasks.
In February 2026, he was tasked with collecting coordinates for possible strikes on Kyiv, including private addresses. Potential targets included the home of the head of the State Emergency Service.
The man was a native of Mykolaiv and worked in the IT sector. On the instructions of his supervisors, he moved to Kyiv and collected data on public figures and the military.
He passed the information on to the curator in Moscow.
The attacker acted under the guise of IT services, imperceptibly collecting the necessary data during conversations.
He later recruited another IT specialist from Odessa. Together they created a network of informants who provided information about the location of Ukrainian troops.
In particular, the SBU detained an agent in Kyiv and his accomplice in Odessa. During the searches, smartphones containing evidence of cooperation with the FSB were seized.
The detainees are charged with Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law).
The suspects are in custody. They face life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
Previously, “Pryamiy” reported that the Security Service of Ukraine exposed a resident of the Donetsk region who was passing on the positions of Ukrainian military personnel to her son, a serviceman of the Russian army.
Also in Kyiv, law enforcement officers detained an FSB agent who organized the arson of Defense Forces vehicles and recruited perpetrators of sabotage.
According to the investigation, the man was looking for perpetrators, involved them in the arsons, and coordinated their actions.
