An air defense bullet wounded a man in Sumy Oblast.

In the Konotop center, a 79-year-old man received an abdominal wound from an air defense bullet.

This was reported by the city mayor Artem Semenikhin.

The victim was quickly taken to the hospital, where emergency surgery is being prepared for him.

The mayor urged residents not to be outside or near windows while the air defense system was in operation.

At the same time, according to the Sumy Special Operations Forces, over the past 24 hours, Russian troops carried out 54 attacks on 23 settlements in the region.

As a reminder, on the night of Tuesday, September 30, Russian forces struck a residential building in the village of Chernechchina, Krasnopilska municipality, Sumy Oblast, using a strike drone. A married couple with their two young sons, aged four and six, lived in the house. Unfortunately, no one survived. Rescuers recovered the bodies of four victims from the rubble.
