An An-24 passenger plane crashed in Russia on a flight from Khabarovsk to Tynda. The incident occurred in the Amur region, not far from the destination airport. There were 49 people on board, including 43 passengers and 6 crew members.

This is reported by Russian media.

According to preliminary data, during the approach, the plane went into a second go-around, after which it disappeared from radar. Communication with the crew was lost a few kilometers before the runway.

The burning fuselage of the aircraft has already been discovered at the scene of the alleged accident. The Eastern Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Transport announced the opening of a criminal case into the fact of violation of flight safety rules, which led to the death of people.

The causes of the crash are being investigated. According to emergency services, all 49 people on board died.
