On the night of October 18, unknown persons in Lithuania tried to set fire to a company where Starlink equipment is stored, and in the morning an unknown drone flew into the country’s airspace. A car was damaged as a result of the drone’s crash in the Pasvaly district, but no one was injured.

This is reported by LRT .

According to Lithuanian Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevičius, the arson attempt failed because the relevant services warned the company in advance about possible attacks, after which security was increased there.

Sinkevičius does not rule out that the appearance of the unknown drone could have been sabotage. To find out where the drone was flying from, he is convening a meeting of the National Security Commission on October 19.

After the drone was detected in Lithuanian airspace, NATO fighter jets were dispatched to intercept it.

Recall that on September 25, the Russian state agency RIA Novosti published an article about a possible military conflict between Russia and Lithuania. The author of the text stated that such a conflict could be short, and also admitted the use of missiles with appropriate charges.
