In Russia, an explosion occurred at the Yasny test site in the Orenburg region on November 28, sending a cloud of purple smoke into the sky. Local authorities said there was no threat to the population.

It is noted that smoke rose above the test site after a suspected rocket explosion. The incident occurred during a launch, which, according to the authors of the publication, could have gone wrong.

“Strange things were happening today over the Yasny test site near Orenburg. Purple smoke rose there, probably after a rocket exploded. There is an assumption that the launch went wrong and the rocket exploded in the air,” the channel said in a statement.

Other public sources reported that the rocket exploded in mid-air during the test, creating a bright cloud that frightened witnesses to the launch.

According to local authorities, the population does not need to evacuate. Administration representatives reported that the situation is under control.

It is worth adding that the Yasny test site is located in the city of Yasny, Orenburg region. This area is home to a cosmodrome and a missile forces base, from where, as noted in the publication, long-range missile launches are carried out.

By the way, in the temporarily occupied Crimea, in the area of the Sakskaya CHP, a fire broke out on the territory of the Yodbrom scientific and production association.

The day before, it became known that on the night of November 28, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that it had allegedly shot down 136 Ukrainian drones , while explosions and air defense operations were recorded in a number of regions of the Russian Federation.
