An FSB agent who coordinated the arson of Ukrainian Army vehicles was exposed in Kyiv
In Kyiv, law enforcement officers detained an FSB agent who organized the arson of Defense Forces vehicles and recruited perpetrators of sabotage.
This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine.
According to the investigation, the man was looking for perpetrators, involved them in the arsons, and coordinated their actions.
In March of this year, the SBU detained two agents who acted on his instructions and set fire to military vehicles in the Desnyanskyi district of the capital.
The organizer turned out to be a conscript who voluntarily left his service in the Kharkiv region and fled to Kyiv. In the capital, he began to cooperate with the Russian special services.
According to the SBU, the FSB recruited him after he was looking for “quick money” in Telegram channels.
After recruiting, he began involving local drug addicts in arson attacks, who agreed to carry out tasks for small sums.
Before each arson attack, the perpetrators agreed on the target, and afterwards, they sent photos and videos of the results. The attacker transmitted these reports to the FSB supervisor via messengers.
The SBU documented his activities and detained him at his place of residence in Kyiv.
During the searches, a phone containing evidence of cooperation with Russian intelligence was seized from him.
Investigators informed the detainee of suspicion of obstructing the activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
He is currently in custody. He faces up to eight years in prison.
It was previously reported that the Security Service of Ukraine detained an FSB saboteur in the Odessa region, who was helping Russian troops prepare strikes on Defense Forces facilities.
