An Intercity+ train and a diesel locomotive collided in Vinnytsia region: all the details of the incident

In Vinnytsia region, at Brailiv station, a side collision occurred between a private coal locomotive and an “Intercity+” passenger train on the Kyiv-Przemysl route. None of the 576 passengers and railway employees were injured as a result of the incident.

After the collision, all passengers were accommodated at the station, and a replacement train is already on its way to continue the route. Railway workers are also collecting information about planned transfers.

Ukrzaliznytsia noted that coordination with the border service is ongoing to promptly carry out customs and border procedures and minimize delays.

In addition, negotiations are underway with other railway operators to maintain connecting flights for passengers.

A team from Ukrzaliznytsia has arrived at the scene to provide assistance and clarify the circumstances of the incident. The incident will be investigated in detail.
