An unidentified drone violated Dutch airspace, prompting two F-35 military fighter jets to take to the skies.

This was reported by NOS.

As noted, controllers were unable to establish contact with the drone as it entered the country’s territory.

The fighters were deployed as part of a rapid response system, which is activated when an unknown object appears in the airspace.

It later became clear that the drone did not pose a threat, it left Dutch airspace, and the fighters returned to base.

Despite this, the origin of the drone remains unknown.

According to the Dutch Ministry of Defense, air traffic was not affected by the incident.

Recall that during Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s visit to Ireland, four unidentified military-type drones followed the route of the presidential plane .

As previously reported, on November 5, Vilnius Airport suspended operations due to the appearance of an unknown drone.

By the way, two unknown drones were spotted near one of the military bases in Estonia, one of which was neutralized.
