Today, Ukraine’s number one tennis player, Elina Svitolina (WTA 7), will face Hungarian tennis player Anna Bondar, who is ranked 63rd in the WTA rankings, in the second round of the WTA 1000 clay court tournament in Madrid.

This will be a 1/32 final match.

Svitolina has previously faced Bondar three times. All matches took place in 2025. Svitolina won twice, Bondar won once, which was considered a sensation. However, given the difference in skill, we’re counting on the Ukrainian to prevail, as she reached the semifinals of this tournament last year.
