President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a law that provides for annual leave for military personnel who signed “Contract 18-24”.
This is stated on the website of the Verkhovna Rada.
It is noted that on February 17, the law was sent to the president, and on March 9, he returned with his signature.
“(Law – ed.) 4782-IX establishes a 12-month deferment from mobilization for citizens aged 18 to 25 who, during martial law, signed a contract for a period of one year and were released from military service upon its expiration,” the Verkhovna Rada explained .
As you know, in February last year, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine officially launched the “Contract 18-24” project – a new format of voluntary service for Ukrainians aged 18 to 24.
As a reminder, in October, the Deputy Head of the Presidential Office announced the expansion of the “Contract 18-24” program , adding all combat units of the Defense Forces.
