Another 300 Ukrainian soldiers returned from Russian captivity
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the return of 300 Ukrainian servicemen and 2 civilians from Russian captivity. Most of the released defenders had been in captivity for over a year, some since 2022.

According to Zelensky, among those released are servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, and the State Border Service of Ukraine. Privates, sergeants, and officers returned home.
The released soldiers defended Ukraine on various fronts, including:
- Donetsk;
- Luhansk;
- Kharkiv;
- Zaporizhia;
- Kherson;
- in Mariupol.
The President noted that most of the military had been in Russian captivity for over a year, and some of them had been since 2022.
“Another 300 Ukrainian defenders are returning home from Russian captivity. We also managed to return 2 Ukrainian civilians today,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
He also thanked the Ukrainian military, who ensure the replenishment of the exchange fund for the return of prisoners.
“Thank you to all our soldiers who ensure this result, replenishing the exchange fund for Ukraine. Thank you to the entire team who worked for this result,” the president said.
Zelenskyy separately thanked the United States for mediating the exchange process.
“I am grateful to the United States for its mediation. It is important that the agreements worked. We remember each and every one and we must definitely return all our people,” he stressed.
As a reminder, Ukraine and the Russian Federation conducted another round of prisoner exchange . 200 people returned from Russian captivity, and later the Coordination Headquarters revealed the details of the prisoner exchange .
