The United States has approved a possible sale of Patriots to Denmark, which then plans to transfer the air defense systems to Ukraine.
This was reported by the US Department of Defense Defense Cooperation Agency (DSCA).
It is noted that the equipment package provides for the acquisition of 36 MIM-104E GEM-T missiles, 20 PAC-3 MSE missiles, two AN/MPQ-65 radars, six PATRIOT M903A2 launchers and other systems necessary for the batteries to fully function.
The sales value was estimated at $8.5 billion.
Earlier, the Netherlands began implementing a similar scheme, also declaring its intention to transfer some weapons to Kyiv to strengthen its air defense.
Recall that earlier the US agreed to sell equipment to Ukraine for more than $300 million to support Patriot systems and the purchase and maintenance of Starlink .
