Today, May 20, a hearing in the murder case of Iryna Farion began in the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Lviv .

This is reported by Suspilne Lviv .

The accused Vyacheslav Zinchenko was brought to the court, accompanied by the police. Before the hearing, he spoke with his lawyer Larysa Kryvoruchko . The prosecution was represented by prosecutor Olena Danyliv , and the victims by Sofiya Osoba .

The lawyer began the meeting with remarks to the judges regarding, in her words, illegal actions during the consideration of the motion to hold all court hearings via video conference.

She noted that the panel of judges granted the motion only partially — exclusively regarding the meeting on May 20, 2026.

“The panel of judges issued a ruling that contradicts itself in its operative part,” the lawyer emphasized.

Larisa Kryvoruchko asked to enter this remark into the court session journal and make a legal decision.

The judges explained that all comments would be considered after the criminal proceedings were concluded. At the same time, the lawyer stated that this procedure of consideration was illegal.

She also noted that the court did not clarify other procedural rights of the defense, and asked that this be recorded in the court session log. According to Kryvoruchko, she has not yet been provided with free access to all court session logs.
