In Kyiv, 2,600 homes were left without heat due to damage to critical infrastructure following a massive attack on Thursday, February 12.
This was announced by the mayor of the capital, Vitali Klitschko.
“These are high-rise buildings on both the left and right banks of the city. In particular, in the Desnyansky, Dniprovsky, Pechersky and Solomyansky districts,” the mayor noted.
Utility workers are already working to restore heat supply to these homes.
At the same time, Klitschko recalled that more than 1,100 high-rise buildings in the Dnipro and Darnytsia districts are still without heat supply after the previous shelling.
“Due to critical damage to the Darnytsia CHP, it is currently impossible to supply coolant there,” he informed.
Recall, on the night of Thursday, February 12, Russia carried out a combined missile and drone attack on several regions of Ukraine. Kyiv and the Dnipropetrovsk region were hit . The attack resulted in injuries and destruction.
