April surprise: snow fell again in Ukraine and covered the cities

In the midst of spring, winter mood has once again enveloped Ukraine. On the night of April 24, snow fell in several regions.

This is reported by local residents and social media.

Snowfall was recorded in Sumy, Kharkiv, Zaporizhia, and Poltava regions. The precipitation covered roads, cars, and already green trees that were actively blooming after the heat.

The bad weather was most noticeable in the Kharkiv region – snowfall there even complicated traffic on the highways.

“The region is in chaos. Kyiv highway, Valky district,” eyewitnesses shared.

In Kharkiv itself, a thin layer of snow covered parked cars, which caused a wave of jokes online.

“The cars were covered in snow after the overnight rain. Is it really April now?” users wrote.

A similar situation was observed in Sumy, where snow cover reappeared against the background of spring greenery, which quickly melted.

“It’s almost summer, and it’s snowing again in Sumy,” locals noted.

In Zaporizhia and Poltava regions, overnight precipitation also briefly brought back a winter scene – snow covered the streets and roofs of houses.

On social media, Ukrainians joke that the weather has “confused the seasons” and suggest getting out New Year’s decorations, because outside the window is once again a winter setting in the middle of spring.
