Armed Man Seizes McDonald’s in Cherkassy

In Cherkassy, on the afternoon of August 7, a man with a gun seized a McDonald’s fast food restaurant. Explosions were heard inside the restaurant.

This was reported by the press service of the National Police.

According to the police, the armed man is inside the restaurant. Law enforcement officers have evacuated customers and staff. An investigative task force, special forces and medics are working at the scene.

“Public” clarifies that the incident occurred on Smelyanskaya Street. The area is currently surrounded and the situation remains tense. Law enforcement officers ask citizens to refrain from approaching the scene of the incident and to follow official information.
