Armored vehicles, artillery and Patriot: Germany is preparing large-scale aid for Ukraine

The German government intends to expand the volume of military assistance to Ukraine in 2026 by an additional 3 billion euros, bringing the total amount to over 11.5 billion euros.
This is reported by the German publication Welt.
According to documents from the Ministry of Finance submitted to the Bundestag’s budget committee, these funds are provided for in a special budget article entitled “Support for states that have been subjected to aggression in violation of international law in the areas of security and defense.”
According to government sources, the additional funds will be used to supply artillery, unmanned aerial vehicles and armored vehicles. In addition, some of the funding will go to replace two Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems that were previously transferred to Ukraine.
The Bundestag’s budget committee is expected to meet for final approval of the draft financial plan for 2026 on Thursday, November 13.
As a reminder, Germany is allocating 60 million euros to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund to strengthen the resilience of critical infrastructure. The funds will help accelerate the delivery of generators, energy equipment, and mobile thermal power plants.
By the way, Germany has offered Brazil to purchase dozens of Leopard 2A6 tanks and Marder 1A5 infantry fighting vehicles . According to local media reports, Ukraine has allegedly refused this equipment.
