NABU Director Semen Kryvonos stated that the anti-corruption bureau has been encountering difficulties in obtaining data from the State Financial Monitoring Service for a long time.
He said this during a meeting of the parliamentary temporary investigative commission on economic security.
The official spoke about tracking the movement of funds related to defense procurement, adding that NABU has been seeing problems for some time.
“These problems have existed for quite a long time – since February 2025 – as soon as we started actively working in the defense sector,” the NABU director emphasized.
According to Kryvonos, the anti-corruption bureau has already sent several requests “one after another” to find out details about the movement of funds and suspicious transactions. At the same time, he noted that now there will be more such requests.
“They will concern individual defendants – the “Karlsons”, the “Sugarmen” and other members of this criminal organization,” the official explained.
It is worth noting that the State Financial Monitoring Service is currently headed by Philip Pronin, who is a person involved in the investigation into the construction of fortifications by the Poltava Independent Army.
It was previously reported that with Pronin’s arrival at the Financial Monitoring Board , Ukraine continues to lose initiative in the FATF .
As a reminder, NABU Director Semen Kryvonis stated about problems with tracking funds related to defense procurement.
