ATB supermarkets have restricted the sale of popular products: what are the limits?

The ATB chain has imposed restrictions on the sale of certain groups of goods in stores and through online services since August 28. Limits were set, in particular, for cereals, pasta, sugar, oil, canned goods, and eggs.

According to journalists, the restrictions apply to the following categories:

• canned fish and seafood;
• canned meat;
• oil and vinegar;
• instant foods and food concentrates;
• starch;
• croup;
• pasta;
• flakes;
• salts;
• soda;
• baked goods;
• sugar;
• chicken eggs.

The chain’s stores are already announcing to customers the restrictions. In particular, a limit of no more than 6 kg or pieces per check has been set for eggs.

The new rules apply not only when shopping in physical stores, but also when ordering goods through ATB online services.

A buyer may be denied the sale of restricted goods if they attempt to circumvent the established limit by issuing multiple checks in a row.

As is known, Russia has destroyed about 90% of the logistics warehouses of retail chains that were used to supply food to Ukraine. At the same time, a systemic shortage of basic products is not expected, although the assortment and logistics may change.

Recall that on the morning of August 27, Russian occupation forces attacked the Roshen logistics facility in the village of Chubynske, Boryspil district, Kyiv region, with seven drones . As a result of the strike, a warehouse of finished confectionery products was destroyed.

By the way, as a result of the massive night attack by Russia on Kyiv and the region, at least 13 people were killed and another 40 were injured. In Boryspil, Kyiv region, the Russian attack fell on food warehouses and Red Cross facilities . Fires are still burning in the area, which are being extinguished by rescuers.
